Team (Project) Introduction
9th Way Insignia will work with the Veterans Administration (VA) to support the governance pillar in creating, implementing, and providing support for the necessary requirements and outcomes of the Zero Trust assessments (ZTA). 9th Way Insignia will provide iterative updates for pillar use cases while accounting for a risk based and dependency-based priority of capabilities.
Professional Level Information:
The Technical Systems Architect aligns within 9th Way Insignia as a Level 4H Hybrid Manager/Lead. A Hybrid Manager at 9th Way Insignia accomplishes department objectives by managing staff and processes and evaluating department activities. Focuses on leading a team and working hands-on with projects involving technology. Hybrid Managers require skills and qualifications such as exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
Functional Job (LCAT) Information:
An Expert Technical Systems Architect has extensive experience in the design and development of Client Server and Web Enabled Corporate applications including network topology. Must be well versed in Object Oriented tools and techniques. Must have thorough knowledge of data modeling skills using automated tools.

The salary range for this position is $101,188 to 160,000.

Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership at an enterprise level to migrate legacy systems to a Zero Trust Architecture for the agency. Over 100 systems will need to be migrated to ZTA.
- Supports ZTA management team in recommending and creating technical solutions
- Will recommend security requirements and provide architectural direction to improve cybersecurity
- Will work with the Agency Enterprise Architect
- Provides system engineering and architectural design support services
- 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity
- Master of Science degree (or higher) in one of the following: computer science, electronics engineering, computer engineering, computer science, information technology, or cybersecurity or 10 years of additional experience
- Experience securing cloud-based systems
- Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture
- Must have excellent interpersonal and technical skills as will be working with important stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred/Desired:
- CISSP
- GIAC Security Essentials Certification
- RMF, CSF, FISMA, and Fedramp
- Familiarity with: ZTNA and SASE Framework, ICAM (OKTA), CWPP, SOC Operations, Vulnerability Threat Management, and Compliance
